First, as many know, Sherman Hemsley passed away. Probably best known as George Jefferson- first on All in the Family then in the spin off the Jeffersons, he also starred as Deacon Ernest Frey on Amen and as the voice of BP Richfield on Dinosaurs. However he stayed busy right up through 2011 with appearances on The Fresh Prince of Beal-Air, Sister, Sister, the Family Guy and more. He was 74

And it will take more than a heart attack (or even two) to keep Alex Trebek away from his show. After suffering his second cardiac incident back on June 23rd, Alex returned to Jeopardy in good health and good spirits. By the way my all-time favorite Alex Trebek moment was his cameo in The X Files as one of the men in black. The episode was called Jose Chung’s “From Outer Space” and the set up was brilliant!
