So I was looking through Perez Hilton’s website and he had a hysterical trip through time with some great images that screamed 80s. If you want to check out all 25 images for yourself, here’s the link. However, I did notice some omissions from Perez’s list. So for those of you who grew up when MTV still showed music videos, check out these images and see which ones you remember...

When this first came out, it had the special Styrofoam container (yes they were still using Styrofoam back then) that kept the hot side hot and the cold side cold…kind of

I spent (probably) way too much time in the arcade in high school and college but this was way back before PCs and smart phones. The only way I could play video games was at an arcade…besides they were only a quarter. Joust was absolutely one of my favorites. Ahh…the Facts of Life…. The show that showed everyone what life at a boarding school was like…NOT. As a person who went to boarding school for 4 years (Culver Girls Academy Class of 1985), there was absolutely no similarity between that show and a real boarding school other than it was a school... and I lived there. I will however give you bonus points if you can still name all the girls.

I owned one of these and spent many hours with my friends discovering the Legend of Zelda and playing Spy Hunter and Caveman Games. They were so cutting edge (or, like, totally bitchin’ to use the vernacular) at the time. Now…not quite so much.
Well that wraps up our little trip down memory lane for today. I would post some more but I now feel an uncontrolable need to hunt out an 8 bit NES on E-bay and relive my teen years. So between Perez’s list and mine what have we left off the list? What image always takes you back to the day?
