  All Day 6th Annual Curb Your Car event   The Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission and Springfield Bicycle Advisory Council are once again encouraging people in Sangamon County to bike, walk, run or take the bus during their commute to work from May 13-18 and take part in the 6th Annual Curb Your Car event. Participants are encouraged to form teams with their co-workers and compete in a team based challenge. Commuters are also invited to take part in a group bicycle ride beginning at Washington Park and ending at the Old Capitol Farmer's Market on the morning of Wednesday, May 15.   8:00AM 4:30PM Sangamon County Schools Art Exhibit   Eighty-four pieces of selected artwork created by Sangamon County elementary, middle and high school students are being exhibited. The display represents the work of students from 32 schools in Sangamon County, selected by area art teachers. The artwork includes paintings, sculptures, pen and ink drawings, weavings and mixed media constructions. Where: SIU School of Medicine, 801 N. Rutledge
  10:00AM 10:40AM Story Time at the Museum   "Let's Get Moving." Join us the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m. for a new program designed for preschool children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. "Story Time" will feature engaging stories read by special guests, and the chance for children to see and learn about objects from the Museum's collections. The program will last 30-40 minutes.   5:30PM 7:30PM Town Brook Community Report   Find out about the Town Brook project (to put a recreational path along Jacksonville's city stream and a bike route to and around Lake Jacksonville) at this public meeting to present initial findings by the Farnsworth Group. Proposed path with link Jacksonville's colleges (Illinois College, MacMurray College and Lincoln Land Community College), downtown, parks, schools, YMCA, business districts with a recreational path.
